Who is this support for?

Are you easily triggered and finding yourself reacting in a way that upsets you. Maybe you are getting angry all the time, or crying easily, or being scared by loud noises. Maybe this spills over into your relationships and work life. This is probably worse if you are neurodiverse, have had traumatic experiences in the past, or have current health challenges such as long term health conditions, or are struggling with the menopause. I specialise in helping clients like you to understand these reactions, process their emotions and lead happier lives.

What support is on offer?

I use cutting edge and effective techniques to support clients to learn to process very difficult emotions. EFT  ‘tapping’ helps you to rebalance your nervous system so that you are not going into ‘fight or flight’ reactions when you encounter traumatic ‘triggers’ such as some people, places, things, memories, thoughts, flashbacks, or even some feelings. Using visualisation techniques learnt in hypnotherapy, I help you gently practice new ways to cope with situations that used to be overwhelming, as the tapping helps reduce, then remove unpleasant emotions.

Where are sessions held?

Sessions are held online through Google Meet or Zoom, allowing you to gently process your thoughts and feelings in your own enviroment, without the time and expense of travel.

How much do sessions cost?

Sessions cost £60 for one session, or 4 sessions for a package of £200 (so long as taken within a 3 month time period). * If you work for any of the emergency services, then do ask for our 10% blue light discount code.

How many sessions will I need?

A good noticeable improvement in symptoms can normally be made in 4 sessions, but for long standing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder 8 to 12 regular sessions might be needed. Occaisional top up sessions are useful to maintain results.

 

I am Dr Lexy Newbold, Psychologist, Emotional Freedom Technique Advanced Practitioner, Hypnotherapist. Also a mum, grandmother, dog and nature lover, artist, kind and non judgemental person.

I have a professional, but gentle approach, supporting your recovery at the rate that feels right for you. I understand first hand what its like to suffer from trauma and have used these techniques myself and many others to recover.

I have decades of training including a PhD in Psychology, with a hypnotherapy practitioner diploma (the HPD- the most recognised UK qualification) and my advanced practitioner qualification in Emotional Freedom Technique from EFTi (the worlds most recognised international EFT tapping qualification).

Over the years I have honed my expertise and ability to apply these effective new techniques to helping people with triggers and traumas.
